Hi,
I think the main problem with Tanjas brake is that the caliper itself is not able to move anymore. Brake lines and main-cylinder seem to be ok. The Brake pads need to be renewed; they are oily since Marco (the german one) fixed a squeaking noise with break assembly paste . I am not shure if the break piston ist moving perfectly, but befor the brake power was ok for a non-moving caliper.
So I need help in understanding "Oud type ophanging" in this FAQ

The translation in google translator is very bad (at least for me).
I wonder how it is possible to remove the rubber/plastic parts and to get out the bolts...
Greetings, Jan

The caliper is suspended with 2 pins, behind 2 small rubbr plugs. They are threaded with M5 and should be pulled out. They can be really stuck, sometimes you need to hqeat the whole caliper and use a lot of force or make some kind of pulling lever. A crowbar or hammer with a block of wood can do the trick.
If you decide to also squeeze out the piston, pull the O-rings out, and clean the grooves in the caliper. There's a lot of corrosion that should be scraped out. Also clean the pits of corrosion in the O-ring. Don't worry if the O-ring is shaped a bit oddly, I put back O-rings that really looked funny, but didn't leak. As long as the thick one isn't broken or torn, it will work. Don't use normal grease in the caliber, the rubber cannot have it and will swell. For any kind of lubrication necessary, use some brake fluid. Use dot 3 or 4 (they can even be mixed, avoid dot 5.
Put in new pads and put some copper grease on the back of the pads and everywhere were they make contact with the caliper, just avoid grease on the liner and disc themself.
Bleed the brake not only at the caloper, also make sure there's no air at the connection from line and reservoir. I always lossen them a bit, put a rag to protect tank and painted parts and squeeze out the air there. After this, if the line is still ok, the brake will do it's work like never before.
