And here's the result of loads of polishing, a YB rim and some spokes bought on Ebay from Singapore, the respoking was much easier than I thought but I still need to true it up once I've got the brake plate polished and ready to go, it's proving to be a pain though. :'(

Flika here reporting in
Been busy but doesn't seem much to show for it, here's the respoked YB rear wheel, I've polished the hub and painted the inside matt black the polished the tops of the ridges did the same on the front hub

The torque arm on the Honda front end was a big ugly square affair nothing like the shape of the YB rear one and the chrome was rubbish as well so I disced back the chrome

Then gave it a quick coat of primer and scribed it's new shape on ready for the grinder and files.

Hmmm I seem to have lost the pics of the rear torque arm  I'll take some more.Because I'm using a YB swing arm a Fizz chainguard wont fit without cutting about and I was never over keen on the shape anyway so I decided to have a chop about of the top half of the YB one, it's a bit mangled but nothing a hammer and dolly won't sort

So now the shape was near enough the same but the front one was already drilled so the only answer was to......drill the YB one

I hate polishing :-/ just an observation the Honda hub and brake plate took twice as long as the Yamaha stuff to polish and seems to tarnish while you're looking at it :-/

Ok I confess I cheated in the end and got a local guy to true up my wheels I just figured for what he charged and the time it would save it was a good idea, here's the shiny back one complete with nos Avon Speedmaster
On the hubs I painted the centres black then polished up the tops of the fins after cleaning up the casting flashes
